What is Mailjet and why should I use it?

Mailjet is a cloud-based, all-in-one email service provider (ESP) that allows you to send both transactional and marketing email campaigns. Create your account in a few clicks and send your first message in minutes!

General Configuration

To ensure a smooth start with Mailjet, we advise configuring some key settings and following our best practices for good deliverability.

Sender Address

When using a third-party emailing service like Mailjet, you need to add and configure the "From:" email address, also known as the Sender Address. Now is the time to set up your sender addresses.

Email Tracking Options

By default, tracking options for 'opens' and 'clicks' are activated for all new accounts. Keep these settings enabled to track who is reading your emails and which links are being clicked. You can adjust these settings on your Account Preferences page. 

SPF & DKIM

To enhance your deliverability (ensuring your newsletters reach the recipient’s inbox rather than the junk folder), we strongly recommend setting up your SPF & DKIM records for your domain. Customized Tracking Links

By default, all tracking links follow this format:

  • http://os8n.mjt.lu/redirect/12345/hostname/link

You can create a customized tracking link for your domain, such as:

  • http://subdomain.yourdomain.com/redirect/12345/yourdomain.com/link/ 

Customized tracking links are not only more attractive to your recipients but also help improve your deliverability. Before creating your customized link, your sender domain needs to be verified by Mailjet.

Send Newsletters with our online tools

Create Your Contact Lists

It's time to upload your contact lists and start creating beautiful newsletters! With any Mailjet account, you can create an unlimited number of contact lists. Contact details can be imported via a CSV file or pasted directly into the form.

To send personalized newsletters, match your contact list fields (name, age, city, etc.) to the online contact properties.

Creating your newsletters online is a straightforward process:

  1. Enter Campaign Details: Specify the title and the sender's name.
  2. Choose Your Contact List: Select the contact list you want to target.
  3. Select an Email Template: Pick a template from our gallery or start from scratch.
  4. Add Your Content: Customize your email with the desired content.
  5. Hit “Send”: Send your newsletter.

Enjoy Live Analytics

After sending your newsletter, visit Mailjet’s powerful real-time analytics page to view key metrics such as the number of sent emails, opens, clicks, and more.

Send Emails via SMTP

As promised, no coding is required, but there are a few account settings you'll need to review.

SMTP Credentials

To access your SMTP server details and retrieve your API & Secret Key credentials, visit your SMTP Settings page.

With our SMTP service, you can include additional headers in your emails to specify how they should be interpreted.

Magic Lists

The ‘Magic Lists’ feature enables you to send emails via SMTP relay to a contact list you've uploaded to Mailjet. Each contact list has a unique ‘Magic List’ email address. Simply send your email to this address from your SMTP interface, and Mailjet will automatically distribute it to all recipients on the list.

Send & Integrate Using Mailjet API

Our API provides comprehensive access to your account and data, allowing for deeper integration to send emails from your applications, whether for yourself or your customers.

API Credentials & Subaccounts
