Automatic domain validation saves you the hassle of creating a DNS record to manually verify your sender domain. Instead, Mailjet works with the DNS provider to create the DNS records automatically. This auto-configuration will not only validate your sender domain, but your SPF/DKIM records as well.
Automatic validation is only possible if your DNS provider has installed the required Mailjet templates on their end. If you want your DNS provider to enable this feature, please contact them and ask them to install the templates which can be found at Domain Connect.
Once you add a sender domain on the Add a Sender Domain page, if your DNS provider has the automatic validation feature enabled, you will be prompted to take advantage of it.
You will be redirected to a new page on the DNS provider’s end, where you need to enter your domain hosting provider credentials. (If you do not have access to this account, please contact your hosting provider for assistance.) Then follow the simple steps to finish the validation process.
After the sender domain validation is done, the auto-configuration feature can also help you quickly authenticate your domain by automatically creating the SPF and DKIM records.
Authenticating your domain improves your sending reputation, and helps with deliverability (getting your emails delivered to the recipient’s inbox rather than their spam folder). Go to the Sending Domain Authentication section of your account and select the respective domain to start the process.
