When the payment method you are using fails after too many attempts to renew your subscription, you will receive a warning message on your dashboard asking you to try again (after resolving the cause of the failure) or add a valid payment method.
You can use the "Retry" or "Add new payment method" buttons directly from the dashboard warning message or visit your billing page for more detailed information.
By clicking on "Retry current payment", our system will attempt to debit your current payment method again. If it still doesn't work, please use the "Pay now" option.
A new window will appear with a detailed overview of your invoice.
Click on "Pay Invoice Online".
Select one of your payment methods (if you have more than one) or add a new one.
The final step will be to click on "Pay With Selected Profile", and you're done!
Here are some common reasons why a payment may fail:

Insufficient funds on your credit card: Make sure there are sufficient funds on your card.

You reached your credit card limit: Some credit cards have limits for the maximum amount that can be charged in a single transaction.

A processing or verification issue with your card: Most payments fail when your bank or payment provider experiences an issue processing your payment. Check your credit card expiration dates first before contacting your bank

Incorrect bank account information: Make sure the bank account information is correct.
Here is why your credit card may be rejected:

If the credit card used on your account expires less than a month before the scheduled payment, our system will automatically reject the charge.
Mailjet will try to process the payment for 3 days, but unless you add a valid payment method, your card will continue to be rejected. If this happens, you will be either downgraded to a free plan or your account will be blocked (if you have extra usage). -
When adding a new credit card, our platform will not accept cards with an expiry date that is less than 2 months away.
