What is Entri, and how does it work with Mailjet?
Entri is a domain configuration service that helps you set up your domain by adding required DNS records automatically through your DNS provider (instead of you creating those DNS records manually).
In Mailjet, Entri is used during domain setup to help you configure and validate your sending domain faster.
How it works
- Entri analyzes your domain and domain host configuration.
- You sign in to your DNS provider to grant a one-time permission to connect your domain.
- Entri automatically adds the required DNS records for the Mailjet setup.
- You return to Mailjet, where your domain should appear as Active.
Supported DNS providers
You can find the up-to-date list of DNS providers that support Entri automatic configuration here: Entri – Automatic DNS configuration support .
Configure your domain automatically
-
In your Mailjet account, go to Account Information and click Add a domain or sender address.
-
Add your domain. If supported, the automatic configuration will start via the Entri flow.
If you don’t see the automatic option or it fails, use the manual setup method (DNS record / file upload). -
A modal appears explaining that Mailjet uses Entri to configure your domain. Click Continue.
-
Entri analyzes your domain and tries to detect your DNS provider.
- When prompted, sign in to your DNS provider to grant a one-time permission. Entri will then connect your domain and add the required DNS records.
-
When the configuration completes, Entri displays a confirmation message (your domain is connected).
-
Back in Mailjet, confirm your domain appears under Domains and senders with an Active status.
- Next step: Go to the SPF/DKIM Authentication tab to verify authentication and finish deliverability setup.
Troubleshooting
👉 My DNS provider isn’t supported or isn’t detected
- Check whether your provider supports Entri automatic configuration: Entri – Automatic DNS configuration support .
- If your provider is not supported (or Entri can’t detect it), use Mailjet’s manual setup method.
👉 Authentication fails or gets stuck
- Re-check the DNS provider username/password (and account permissions).
👉 My domain still doesn’t validate after automatic configuration
- DNS changes can take time to propagate. Wait a bit and click Validate again.
- Verify that the records Entri added are still present in your DNS zone (security policies or existing DNS rules can overwrite changes).
- If it still fails, switch to Mailjet’s manual setup and compare the expected DNS records with what’s currently set.
