By default the Return-Path header points to "bnc3.mailjet.com", but you can of course customize this address to point to your own domain instead.
To create a custom return path you will have to create a CNAME record in the DNS zone of your sending domain that points to the sub-domain we use as the envelope address "bnc3.mailjet.com". You will have to create a sub-domain that looks like bnc3.yourdomain.com.
Here is an example:
bnc3.yourdomain.com. IN CNAME bnc3.mailjet.com.
Once this has been done, get in touch with us. Open a ticket with our support team and provide us with the following information so that we can activate your personalized return route:
- The API key you want to customize the return-path domain on.
- The CNAME record you configured: a screenshot or text version of the record.

Mailjet reserves the right to deny the activation of a custom return path on accounts that are not compliant with our Acceptable Use Policy.
