To maintain a secure and active user base, Mailjet has a policy for deleting accounts that remain inactive over extended periods. This ensures better resource management and data security.
Inactivity Notification Timeline
Before any account is deleted, we follow a clear communication process:
- 2 months of inactivity: First reengagement email is sent to encourage account activity.
- 6 months of inactivity: A second reminder is sent to reengage the user.
- 9 months of inactivity: Final reengagement attempt is made before proceeding to account deletion warnings.
- 12 months of inactivity: A 30-day notice informs the user of upcoming account deletion if no action is taken.
- 400 days of inactivity: A final notification is sent before permanently deleting the account.
What Happens Next?
- Account Recovery: Logging in or sending an email at any point before deletion will keep your account active.
- Data Deletion: Once deleted, the account and all associated data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
