2. Add & Validate a Sender Address or Domain
Before you send any emails, Mailjet must verify that you own the address or domain you're using.
To add a sender address:
- Go to Account Settings > Senders & Domains.
- Click Add a domain or sender address.
- Select Add a sender address.
- Enter the email and confirm it via a verification link sent to your inbox.

To add a domain:
By adding an entire domain, all new sender addresses from that domain will be automatically verified when you add them to your account or send an email from them.
- Go to the same Senders & Domains section.
- Click Add a domain or sender address.
- Select Add domain.
- Follow the instructions to add a TXT record to your DNS.
- Once verified, the domain will be ready to use. (Wait up to 48 hours for propagation)

3. Set Up SPF & DKIM
Setting up SPF and DKIM authentication ensures your emails reach the inbox rather than spam folders. These records confirm to mailbox providers (like Gmail or Outlook) that Mailjet is authorized to send emails on your behalf.
What to do:
- Navigate to Account Settings > Domains and Senders > Setup SPF/DKIM authentication.
- Click the ⚙️ gear icon next to your domain and select Setup SPF/DKIM Authentication.
- Open your domain DNS settings at your hosting provider or domain registrar.
- Add the two records Mailjet provides:

- Save the changes and allow up to 48 hours for DNS propagation.
- Once Mailjet verifies the records, both SPF and DKIM statuses will display as OK (in green).

Send Your First Email Campaign
4. Create a Contact List
Contacts are essential for sending campaigns.
To create a list:
- Go to Contacts > Contact Lists.
- Click Create a contact list, name it (e.g. “My First List”).
- Import contacts manually or upload a
.CSV
file.

- Make sure the CSV includes headers like
email
,firstname
,lastname
. - You can also create segments later for targeting.

5. Design Your First Newsletter
- Go to Campaigns → Create Campaign.
- Enter campaign details:
- Title
- Sender Name & Email (choose your validated sender)
- Select your Contact List.
- Pick a template or start blank.
- Use the drag-and-drop editor to build your email content.

6. Send Your Campaign
Before you launch:
- Use the Preview tool to see your email on desktop and mobile.
- Send yourself a test email.
- Click Send Now or Schedule for Later.

7. Monitor Performance (Live Analytics)
- Access Campaigns → Statistics to view:
- Delivered emails
- Opens & clicks
- Bounces, unsubscribes, and more.
- Use insights to optimize future campaigns.
