Mailjet’s Image Gallery is your centralized library for storing, organizing, and accessing all the images you use in your email campaigns. Whether you’re uploading product photos, branding assets, or visual content for newsletters, the Image Gallery helps keep everything neatly organized and ready to use in just a few clicks.
Why Use the Image Gallery?
The Image Gallery is designed to make your email creation process faster and more efficient. Here are a few key benefits:
- Centralized Storage: Upload your images once and reuse them across all your campaigns.
- Easy Organization: Keep your gallery tidy by adding labels to group images into categories. Use stars to highlight important assets and pin them to the top for quick access.
- Multiple Upload Options: Upload from your device, paste image URLs, or use drag-and-drop.
- Direct Access in the Editor: Access your gallery straight from the Email Editor without leaving your workspace.
How to Access the Image Gallery
You can open the Image Gallery in several ways:
- Navigate to the Image Gallery section within your dashboard.
- Or Drag & drop the image content box into the newsletter and use the 'Insert image from gallery" button.
Uploading and Managing Images
Once you're in the Image Gallery, you can:
Upload New Images
- Click the Upload button at the top right.
- Select one or more image files from your computer.
- You can also drag and drop images directly into the gallery.
Use Image URLs
- Click on the Import from URL icon.
- Paste the image link and click Upload.
Organize
To help keep things tidy:

Organize your images into categories by labeling them to ensure a systematic and tidy arrangement so you can find what you need without unnecessary scrolling or searching.
A label can be applied to as many images as you wish and you can create up to 200 labels per API Key.
For example, use labels to identify special events, holidays, seasonal templates, geographical locations, client groups, and much more. -
Applying stars to images ensures they take priority and are displayed on top, making it ideal for frequently used visuals such as a company logo.
Delete Images
Deleting Images from the Image Gallery:
- Choose the image/images you want to delete by selecting the checkbox next to each image.
- Click delete and confirm the deletion when prompted. This step is usually to ensure that you don't delete images accidentally.
- The selected images should now be removed from the Image Gallery and all other locations where they are being used.
Using Images in Your Emails
Once your images are uploaded to the gallery, adding them to your email is simple:
- Drag and drop the Image content block into your newsletter and click the Insert image from gallery button.

Select the image you want to use from the gallery.

Customize the image using the Edit option — you can adjust alignment, padding, dimensions, and more.
Consider adding ALT text to your image, providing a brief and descriptive summary. ALT text serves as a backup in case the image cannot be displayed.To unlock all the features (frames, filters and more) offered by our image editor, you will need to be on one of our Premium plans.You can also make these modifications after saving by selecting the image and clicking on the Image Tool Editor button.
