Will I Be Billed Twice in the Same Month If I Upgrade My Plan?
Yes, if you upgrade your plan before the current billing cycle ends, you will be billed twice. However, all unused days of service will be deducted from the new plan's price. Your subscription will still follow the original renewal date of your current billing cycle.
Please note that any credits already used under the previous plan will also be deducted from the new plan’s credits.
How Plan Upgrades Are Calculated When Done Before a Billing Cycle Ends
You can upgrade your plan anytime. An upgrade takes place immediately and follows your existing billing cycle. Check out all of our pricing plans HERE.
- Unused days of service will be deducted from the price of the new plan.
- You will only be billed for the remaining days of your billing cycle based on the new plan price.
- Credits consumed from the previous plan will be deducted from the credits of the new plan.
Example:
For the purpose of this example, we will assume the prices:
- 15k plan: $20.95 per month
- 50k plan: $41.95 per month
Tom purchased his 15k plan on April 1st, 2021. On April 20th, Tom decides that his business needs more mailing power so he upgrades to 50k. The billing cycle (renewal date) will remain the same, and it will automatically renew on May 1st, 2021.
The cost per day on a 15k plan is $0.70. Tom has already used 20 days of his 15k plan and has 10 days remaining (or $7). The cost per day on a 50k plan is $1.40.
For the 50k Plan upgrade, Tom will be charged:
| Price of the 50k plan | $41.95 |
| Unused days on the 15k plan | - $7 |
| Already used days on the monthly subscription | - $28 |
| Price to pay | $6.95 |
Tom has used 10k credits from his 15k plan before upgrading to a 50k plan. That means that once the plan has been upgraded, Tom will have the following credits at his disposal:
| New plan available credits | 50k |
| Used credits from the previous plan | - 10k |
| Available credits after the upgrade | 40k |
Example with extra usage (emails sent over the limit of the plan):
Tom has purchased the same 15k plan but used 20k credits (5k extra usage) from his 15k plan before upgrading to a 50k plan. That means that once the plan has been upgraded, Tom will have the following credits at his disposal:
| New plan available credits | 50k |
| Used credits from the previous plan | - 20k |
| Available credits after the upgrade | 30k |

If, however, you upgrade your plan before the end of the billing cycle, any additional emails sent will not be billed, but will be deducted from the current subscription. To receive more details on how an upgrade is calculated, please check HERE.
We strongly advise you to keep an eye on your volume of sent emails to avoid any unwanted extra charge. You can monitor your usage from your account dashboard:
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes, we do! Even better—you save 10% on any plan when you subscribe to annual billing.
You can switch to annual billing at any time by selecting the ‘Annual’ option on the Pricing Page.
How Annual Billing Works:
- Pay upfront for the next 12 months and save 10%. Please note, that refunds are not available.
- Receive an annual invoice showing the discount and your annual billing date.
- Your annual billing cycle will automatically renew on your billing date. We’ll send you a reminder email one month before the cycle ends.
- Even with annual billing, your plan maintains a fixed monthly volume. Any overage (extra emails) sent will be billed monthly to your credit card.
Upgrading Your Plan
- You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. The upgrade takes effect immediately and follows your current billing cycle.
- Any remaining days of service will be credited toward the new, upgraded plan.
For more details on how upgrades are calculated, check HERE.
Downgrading to a Lower Plan
- Downgrade options will only be available during the last month of your annual billing cycle.
- Any downgrades will take effect at the end of the billing cycle.
Can I Transfer Credits Between Months with Annual Billing?
No, credits cannot be transferred between months.
With annual billing, you pre-pay for 12 months in advance and receive a 10% discount. However, each month still comes with a fixed volume of email credits. While you can exceed your monthly allowance, any additional emails sent beyond the allotted credits will be billed separately each month. You can view more details on extra usage (overages) HERE.
How to Switch from Annual Billing to Monthly Payments
You will have the option to switch to a monthly subscription one month before your annual billing cycle ends.
You can either:
- Schedule the switch to a monthly billing cycle.
- Let your annual billing renew automatically.
